Use the calculator below to estimate your total monthly SASSA grant income. This tool uses the official 2026 grant amounts from the February 2026 Budget Review and is updated for the latest increases.
Select your age range, whether you have a disability, how many children you care for, your foster parent status, and whether you have a full-time caregiver. The calculator will show which grants you may qualify for and your estimated monthly total. For a more detailed estimate, use the Household Estimator tool in our Tools section.

How accurate is this calculator?
It uses the official 2026 grant amounts from the national budget. However, your actual eligibility depends on the means test, which assesses your income and assets. Always apply directly through SASSA for confirmation.
Does the calculator consider the means test?
No. This calculator shows which grants you MAY qualify for based on age, dependants, and disability status. The SASSA means test makes the final determination based on your income and assets.
Can I get more than one grant at the same time?
Generally, you can only receive one primary social grant. However, Grant-in-Aid (R580) can be added to the Older Person, Disability, or War Veterans Grant if you need full-time care.
What if I earn some money — do I still qualify?
It depends on how much you earn. Each grant has a means test threshold. For example, the SRD grant requires bank inflows under R624 per month. The Older Person Grant allows single applicants to earn up to R112,200 per year. See our Means Test Guide for details.
